Company
A technology partner that stays after the invoice is paid
Edgecloud Technologies Limited is based in Nairobi and works with growing organisations across Kenya, East Africa, and Africa, on the infrastructure, software, and systems their operations depend on.
The Problem: Fragmented Ownership
The Solution: Unified Responsibility
Most technology problems in growing businesses are not technical. They are ownership problems.
A server issue gets blamed on the developer. A software bug gets blamed on the host. The business is left in the middle, paying three invoices and getting one answer from nobody. That happens because infrastructure, software, and support usually come from different vendors who each own only their slice.
Edgecloudwas set up to close that gap: one team that understands the whole environment, and takes responsibility for it, instead of the choice between an expensive multinational provider and a patchwork of local vendors who will not.
Mission
Dependable, well-supported technology for growing businesses in Kenya and across Africa, without the cost of a multinational provider or the fragmentation of five local ones.
Vision
A region where growing businesses build on foundations as dependable as those available to the largest companies in the world, supported by people who understand the environment they operate in.
What we hold ourselves to
Practical by design
We recommend what a business actually needs, and say why, not the largest package we can sell.
Accountable in delivery
We take responsibility for outcomes, not just the tasks we were asked to complete.
Local in understanding
Built around the realities of Kenyan and East African business: connectivity, cost, and the way payments actually work here.
Clear in communication
Technical decisions explained in terms a business owner can act on, not a term a vendor can hide behind.
Serious about quality
We build things intended to last, not just to launch and hand off.
Built for progress
We work with businesses as they grow, not only at the one moment they signed a contract.
Nairobi is not incidental to how we work
We are built around the practical realities of doing business in this region: connectivity that is not always guaranteed, payment systems like M-Pesa that most platforms treat as an afterthought, and a cost base that cannot carry the pricing of a Fortune 500 vendor.
Our primary focus is Kenya. The same approach holds across East Africa and the wider African market, where the same trade-offs apply.
EdgeCloud, in short
How we work
Most engagements start as a defined project or a technical assessment, and some become an ongoing retainer once the initial work is done. Either way, the sequence is the same: understand the situation, agree what needs to happen and why, do the work in stages you can see, and stay involved afterwards if that is what you want.
